About this Position  

We’re looking for a Data Governance Senior Analyst to help embed trust, quality, and control into our growing enterprise data platform.

This role operates across data domains and sits at the intersection of data governance, engineering and analytics. You will work closely with both engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure data is well-defined, high quality, and managed effectively in day-to-day operations.

This is a hands-on governance role — focused on implementing and operationalising governance practices such as data quality, metadata, lineage and stewardship. While you won’t be responsible for building data pipelines, you will play a key role in defining governance requirements and working with data engineers to embed them into platforms such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Databricks and dbt.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement data governance controls, standards and data quality rules
• Partner with data engineering teams to embed governance controls into data pipelines across platforms such as Informatica, ADF, Databricks and dbt
• Configure and manage governance tooling (e.g. Informatica, Collibra, Alation) including metadata, lineage and data catalogues
• Monitor and improve data quality across critical datasets
• Establish and support data ownership and stewardship practices
• Support privacy, risk and compliance requirements across the data platform

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• Experience in data governance, data quality or data management at an enterprise level, from an immature environment
• Hands-on experience implementing governance practices (data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship)
• Experience with governance or metadata tools (e.g. Informatica, Collibra, Alation)
• Understanding of data platforms and pipelines (e.g. Azure, Databricks, dbt, ADF)
• Experience working with data engineering teams to embed governance into data delivery
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills for data quality and validation
• Ability to translate governance into practical, working solutions across business and technical teams
