About this Position  

At PFD Food Services, we bring people together through food. We are seeking a confident and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our Launceston branch.

In this role, you will lead the day-to-day operation by supporting and guiding both warehouse staff and drivers to achieve strong performance outcomes. You will play a key role in driving performance, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting the delivery of reliable service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet day-to-day operational deliverables while optimising performance and minimising credits
• Maintain effective and accurate stock control processes
• Manage and support drivers at the start of day, ensuring they are set up for success
• Provide direction and support to site personnel, including conducting toolbox talks, team meetings and onboarding new starters
• Foster a positive, safe and high-performing team environment
• Ensure Occupational Health & Safety requirements are met, including hazard management and incident reporting
• Ensure HACCP, quality and food safety requirements are maintained to standard
• Support deliveries during staff shortages where required
• Assist with truck movements within the yard and transporting vehicles to and from off-site locations as needed
• Contribute to smooth coordination between warehouse and transport functions

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• Experience supervising warehouse operations
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams
• Forklift License and MR License (Desirable)
• Knowledge of HACCP, OH&S and cold storage
• Strong understanding of SOPs and compliance
• Clear communication and organisational skills
• Reliable, flexible and safety‑focused
• Leadership skills with the ability to create a team environment
