Key Responsibilities

• Manage a small portfolio of National suppliers and perform the following tasks;
  • Negotiate supplier terms;
  • Negotiate promotional program participation;
  • Manage new line requests and range reviews;
  • Review cost changes;
  • Review income reports;
  • Identify product segment gaps within major food services customers;
• Assist with monthly promotional brochure creation;
• Assist with National income analysis and preferred supplier listings by category;
• Understand all facets of the Merchandise Team roles;
• Attend supplier meetings as required with each of the National Buyers.

• Great attention to detail;
• Proactive and self-motivated;
• Experience in a purchasing environment would be advantageous;
• Experience in effective decision making and problem solving with analytical skills;
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills;
• Strong organization and time management skills;
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team;
• Openness and ability to learn;
• Advanced computer skills.
