About this Position

We’re a close-knit Talent team building the next chapter of recruitment excellence at PFD. Our focus is simple, to deliver meaningful hiring experiences, empower our people, and shape a function that drives business success.

As our Commercial Specialist, you’ll recruit across Finance, IT, Commercial, HR and Payroll and partnering with senior leaders, managing 12-15 active roles, and delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for every candidate and stakeholder.

This isn’t just about filling roles: it’s about building trust, enabling growth, and elevating how we attract and engage talent across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment across professional portfolios.
  • Partner with leaders to shape briefs and design sourcing strategies.
  • Deliver best-in-class candidate care and consistent communication.
  • Build pipelines for hard-to-fill or emerging roles.
  • Provide market insights and data-led recommendations.
  • Contribute to projects such as onboarding, EVP or systems improvement.
  • Champion inclusive and equitable hiring practices.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience recruiting across professional or specialist functions.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
  • Curiosity about technology, process, and people.
  • Confidence using AI tools as a partner for efficiency from sourcing to content creation.
  • Proficiency with ATS and HR systems (PageUp, LinkedIn Recruiter)

What Success Looks Like (within 12-Months)

  • Trusted advisor to stakeholders.
  • Contributor to new or improved TA processes or campaigns.
  • Recognised for delivering quality outcomes with warmth and consistency.
  • Growth in your role and in the team, through shared learning and curiosity.

A Note from Your Future Leader

“I’m not looking for someone to copy my style, I’m looking for people who bring their own spark of excellence.

In our team, titles don’t define us: collaboration, curiosity, and care do. We value pace and precision just as much as empathy and inclusion. We hold ourselves to a high standard, not because we have to, but because we take pride in what we do.

If you love recruitment, want to be surrounded by people who genuinely support each other, and believe that great talent work changes a business - you’ll fit right in.”

What PFD is Offering the Successful Candidate

We are offering competitive remuneration, superannuation and other staff benefits (such as discounts on staff purchases, discounted accommodation, health insurance and banking).
