About this Position  

We’re looking for a commercially driven State Business Development Manager to lead growth across Queensland. In this state-focused role, you’ll identify and secure new business opportunities, build a strong pipeline of target accounts, and expand our presence within the foodservice sector. You’ll act as a trusted partner to customers—understanding their needs, presenting tailored solutions, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.

Working closely with internal sales teams, you’ll drive strategic growth initiatives, strengthen key relationships, and deliver sustainable, profitable outcomes aligned with our business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional who thrives on building networks, influencing outcomes, and making a tangible impact at scale

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and win new business opportunities across Queensland
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers aligned to strategic growth plans
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key customers, advising on product solutions and market trends
  • Drive profitable growth by assessing opportunities and ensuring commercial viability
  • Lead seamless onboarding of new accounts and ensure alignment with company processes
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to maximise opportunities and support long-term account success

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account acquisition
  • Hunter mindset – confident, driven, resilience to ‘knock on doors’ and persistent
  • Knowledge of foodservice and FMCG industry, analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with the ability to assess profitability and growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Passion for coaching and inspiring Account Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Hybrid working, 60% office based, some ad-hoc local and interstate travel
