About this Position

We’re on the lookout for a practical, hands-on Site Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to keep our 46,000 sqm site running safely and efficiently. Based in Chullora, this role is all about making sure the site operates without disruption - managing faults, supporting compliance, and coordinating maintenance work.

You’ll need general electrical or mechanical knowledge (no trade ticket required), a sharp eye for safety risks, and the confidence to jump in, prioritise, and get things moving.

Whether it’s troubleshooting a fridge alarm, organising a contractor for a dock door, or raising a CAPEX request for a site improvement - you’ll be the person who gets it done.

This is a full-time position with standard hours from 7:00am to 3:00/4:00pm, with occasional on-call support required for alarms or urgent issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance across the site.
  • Identify and escalate faults (e.g. refrigeration, dock doors, electrical).
  • Support WorkSafe, OH&S and HACCP compliance through record-keeping and inspections.
  • Raise purchase orders and manage minor capital projects.
  • Liaise with contractors, trades and suppliers to keep things moving.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure the site is always audit-ready.
  • Respond to after-hours callouts or alarms when needed.
  • Assist with contractor onboarding and site inductions.
  • Champion a safe and efficient environment across all facility touchpoints.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • General mechanical or electrical understanding (no trade ticket required).
  • Prior experience in facilities coordination, maintenance support or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Good working knowledge of OH&S and HACCP principles (cold storage a bonus).
  • A calm, proactive mindset - someone who gets things sorted, not flustered.
  • Great communication skills and confidence working across departments and with trades.
  • Computer literacy  - ability to complete documentation and raise requests.
  • Own vehicle and ability to travel locally (pool cars available for site errands).
  • Preference for someone living within 30km of the site (easy commute).

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in a food-related, temperature-controlled environment.
  • Exposure to refrigeration systems or project coordination.
