About this Position  

Based in Lara (Geelong), this role is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships within a designated territory (Outer West Melbourne region), driving sales performance and delivering excellent service outcomes. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs, present products effectively, and identify new business opportunities.

Candidates with a chef background or strong food industry experience are highly regarded, bringing valuable functional product knowledge and credibility when engaging with customers. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive business with a strong market presence and room to grow.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales and margin performance across an assigned territory, in line with budget targets
  • Develop strong customer relationships, protecting base business while driving basket growth and retention
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities through effective planning and targeted sales activity
  • Promote and sell the full foodservice product range, supported by supplier partnerships and promotional programs
  • Use sales data and insights to plan activity, optimise margins, and support continuous improvement with customers

 

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven sales experience essential
  • Strong foodservice industry background (chef experience as highly desirable)
  • Highly organised self-starter and go-getter who can plan, prioritise and manage a territory effectively
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships
  • Commercially astute, with a focus on sales growth, margin optimisation and results
  • Confident using digital tools, tablets/laptops and Microsoft Office (training provided)
  • Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to safety and compliance
