About this Position
As the National Commercial Manager - Seafood, you’ll own one of our most dynamic categories end to end. This is a national, strategic role focused on shaping seafood category performance across fresh and frozen products.
You’ll work at the intersection of supplier partnerships, commercial strategy and sales execution, influencing how seafood is sourced, developed and sold across the business.
At our core, we bring people together through food and this role plays a critical part in making that happen.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the national commercial strategy for the seafood category.
Lead strategic supplier relationships, negotiations and joint business planning.
Manage and optimise cost base, pricing, rebates and commercial terms.
Drive performance across fresh and frozen seafood ranges.
Act as the seafood subject-matter expert, guiding sales teams with market insight and category direction.
Partner with processing sites, operations and supply chain on sourcing and product development.
Support major national and corporate customers, including Woolworths.
Deliver market intelligence and category reporting to inform commercial decisions.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
Proven seafood category experience - non-negotiable.
Background in commercial, procurement or purchasing roles within FMCG or food.
Strong understanding of seafood supply chains, pricing and market dynamics.
Confidence working with a broad mix of stakeholders from corporate customers to fishing operators and processors.
A calm, solutions-focused mindset in fast-moving, high-pressure environments.
The ability to balance commercial rigour with approachability and teamwork.
Experience influencing sales strategy with data, insight and market knowledge.
Location: Melbourne preferred | Sydney or Brisbane considered.
Travel: Regular national travel across processing and operational sites.
