About this Position  

Based in Knoxfield, we’re seeking a driven Meat Specialist to champion our meat category across East Victoria (e.g. Knoxfield, Shepparton, Morwell, Bairnsdale). In this hands-on role, you’ll partner closely with Sales Representatives to build capability, drive growth, and strengthen PFD’s position as a leading supplier to the foodservice industry. From developing key accounts to delivering on-the-ground coaching and identifying new opportunities, you’ll play a critical role in expanding our fresh and frozen meat offering and achieving strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive meat sales growth across Victoria to meet and exceed company targets
  • Train and coach Sales Representatives through on-the-job support to improve meat product knowledge and selling capability
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow meat sales in underperforming territories and branches
  • Build and manage key customer relationships, increasing penetration in major and nominated accounts through regular engagement
  • Identify and grow fresh meat opportunities, expanding product range and sales within the region
  • Partner with branch teams to deliver product training, support sales activity, and improve overall performance
  • Monitor stock levels and sales performance, responding quickly to trends and opportunities across allocated regions

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong meat industry experience across fresh and frozen products, with solid product and process knowledge
  • Proven sales capability, with the ability to drive category growth and influence commercial outcomes
  • Hands-on coach and trainer, able to develop Sales Representatives and lift capability in the field
  • Relationship builder, confident engaging and growing key accounts and internal stakeholders
  • Commercially savvy, with experience setting targets, identifying opportunities, and delivering against budgets
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a positive attitude and ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
  • Regional travel required (e.g. Shepparton, Morwell, Bairnsdale)
