About this Position  

We’re seeking a commercially focused Finance Business Partner (NSW) to partner with our NSW State Leadership Team and help drive financial performance across Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Distribution and Supply Chain.

Based in Mulgrave, this role plays a key part in shaping decisions through practical financial insight, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and delivering clear, data-driven analysis across revenue, margin, cost-to-serve and working capital.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations that improve business outcomes in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the NSW State Leadership Team to provide clear, practical financial advice and insights.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance analysis, highlighting key drivers and variances.
  • Deliver commercial analysis on customers, pricing, margin and cost-to-serve to support decision-making.
  • Support tenders, contracts and investment decisions through financial modelling and business cases.
  • Work closely with operations to improve transport, warehouse and labour cost performance.
  • Produce accurate reporting, dashboards and commentary to drive visibility of risks and opportunities.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across reporting, processes and financial controls.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar; CA/CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of revenue, margin and cost drivers.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to influence non-finance leaders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP and BI tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities and deliver insights that drive outcomes.
