About this Position  

This sales leadership role is responsible for the customer and sales management. Within this role, you will work closely with your direct team, ensuring the food service strategy and budget objectives are being met through building sales capability while fostering the PFD values and behaviours and driving team performance accountability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute State and National sales initiatives
  • Development of Sales Representatives, including induction and ongoing sales and product training
  • Manage and oversee Sales Rep call cycles and sales planners
  • Develop new business opportunities and attend key accounts personally
  • Manage the execution and measurement of margin growth strategies
  • Analyse and interpret sales reports/results and take corrective action to achieve sales targets
  • Report on changes in competitor activities, product availability or related matters including customer credit issues
  • Co-ordinate sales promotions, training and market research

 

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Positive, resilient, results driven approach with a commitment to achieving targets and leading by example.
  • Sales management experience within the food industry, including developing sales strategies, analysing data for insights, and driving adoption of the PFD customer value proposition.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach, motivate and develop high performing sales teams, handling people related and performance management processes confidently and professionally.
  • Ability to monitor competitor activity and lead the team in capturing insights and conducting SWOT analysis.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and suppliers across diverse hospitality segments.
  • Solid financial and analytical skills with advanced Excel capability, familiarity with CRM and OMS systems.
