About this Position

We’re looking for a Data Governance Senior Analyst to help embed trust, quality and control into our growing data platform. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of data engineering, analytics and governance—working closely with engineers and business teams to ensure data is accurate, well-defined and managed responsibly.

Rather than operating at a policy level, you’ll bring governance to life by embedding standards, data quality checks, and metadata practices directly into pipelines across Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Databricks and dbt. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape how data is governed day-to-day, enabling the business to confidently use data to drive decisions while meeting privacy and compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed data governance controls, standards and data quality checks into pipelines across Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Databricks and dbt
  • Define and monitor data quality rules (e.g. completeness, accuracy, timeliness), driving issue resolution and continuous improvement
  • Establish and maintain data ownership, stewardship models and governance frameworks across business domains
  • Build and manage data catalog artefacts including business glossary, metadata, lineage and data classifications
  • Partner with engineering and business teams to ensure governance is applied in day-to-day data delivery and analytics
  • Support privacy, risk and compliance initiatives by ensuring sensitive data is identified, controlled and handled in line with regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica, including designing and implementing data governance or data quality controls within enterprise data environments
  • Experience working with data catalog or governance tooling such as Collibra or Alation, including metadata, lineage, or business glossary management
  • 3–6 years’ experience in data governance, data quality, or data management, ideally within enterprise or regulated environments
  • Proven experience defining and implementing data quality rules, controls and monitoring processes, including issue identification and remediation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate governance standards into practical, developer-friendly guidance
  • Strong SQL skills and a working understanding of how data is structured and transformed within data platforms to support data quality and governance activities

What PFD is Offering the Successful Candidate

We are offering competitive remuneration, superannuation and other staff benefits (such as discounts on staff purchases, discounted accommodation, health insurance and banking).
