    We are PFD Food Services, Australia's largest privately owned food service company ( Established in 1943, PFD now has almost 70 branches in metropolitan and regional areas around Australia. We have a broad range of customers such as local restaurants, cafes, hospitals, schools, pubs and clubs!

    The Role

    The purpose of this role is the receipt, balancing and banking of payments received from Sales Representatives, customers and staff. Responsible for correct data entry of payments to customer accounts.                                                                     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive cash and cheque payments and balance payments received to supporting documents                                      
    • Prepare cash and cheques for banking                                                            
    • Enter payments to accounts and balance                                                          
    • Maintain relationships with customers
    • Communicate with various departments to ensure that a high level of customer service and record accuracy is maintained
    • Ensure all customer details are updated when necessary
    • Data entry
    • Perform various administrative tasks as outlined by job description, including filing/photocopying and banking

    Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and organisational skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Customer service focus with an excellent phone manner
    • Willingness to take on new tasks and be multi-skilled in various roles within the office
    • Great computer skills (including Word, Excel)
    • Good product knowledge
    • Capable of working under pressure in a team environment
    • Show initiative and a positive attitude
    • Previous cash handling experience required minimum 1 year
    • Minimum 1 year administration experience required
    • Proven ability to work unsupervised
