This high impact role bridges the gap between business operations and technology, ensuring our platforms including WMS, replenishment, routing, and compliance systems are robust, scalable, and aligned to real world business needs.

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this role plays a critical part in shaping our future supply chain technology roadmap while leading a small team of enthusiastic and capable direct reports. You’ll work closely with key operational leaders and site teams across the country, ensuring what we build is not only technically sound but genuinely fit-for-purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the enterprise applications roadmap across supply chain and logistics systems, including Manhattan WMS, replenishment tools, route planning, and compliance platforms.
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery across complex technology initiatives, ensuring on time, fit for business execution.
  • Partner with operations and site leaders to identify pain points, prioritise initiatives, and translate business needs into scalable IT solutions.
  • Support and coach two direct reports with different working styles fostering trust, capability, and professional growth.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across IT and business units, ensuring transparency, engagement, and effective communication.
  • Support major projects such as the LogMaster rollout (fatigue management), voice picking enablement, Manhattan WMS expansion, and assessment of a new route planning solution.
  • Provide stability during transition and set the team up for long term success, particularly with WMS readiness for upcoming site builds.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing enterprise applications within a supply chain or logistics environment.
  • Deep knowledge of warehouse operations and hands on experience with WMS platforms (preferably Manhattan).
  • Proven ability to deliver complex IT projects in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • A strategic yet grounded mindset, you can build a roadmap and also understand the business pulse.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, you're able to navigate conflicting views, uncover the real issues, and drive alignment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills with a leadership style that’s calm, empowering, and adaptive.
  • Ability to travel to site locations when needed to ensure operational alignment and project success.

Bonus Points For:

  • Direct experience with Manhattan WMS or other Tier 1 warehouse management solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices within logistics or operations-led IT environments.

What Success Looks Like

  • A seamless handover with continuity and momentum maintained across existing projects.
  • A clearly defined and aligned enterprise applications roadmap, balancing business priorities with IT capability.
  • Strong, trust based relationships built with key stakeholders and site operations leaders.
  • Manhattan WMS scoped and set up effectively for new site builds.
