Key Responsibilities

  • Lead  the daily co-ordination of warehouse shift operations
  • Maintain the day to day requirements of both staff and operational functions for all shifts
  • Ensure staff and branch work practices comply with all company/legislative policies and procedures
  • Ensure all budgeting targets are adhered to
  • Ensure all customer orders are picked, checked and loaded by staff with high levels of accuracy
  • Ensure all delivery vehicles are loaded as per Driver/Run requirements
  • Provide continual guidance in mentoring and career development for staff
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are a priority
  • Maintain communication with Supervisors, Branch Managers and Sales team
  • Assist management and support all Stock Control, Replenishing and Supply Chain objectives
  • Ensure all administrative tasks and paperwork requirements are completed in a timely manner with high levels of accuracy

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience and complete understanding of warehouse and distribution functions
  • Leadership skills with proven experience in people management
  • Knowledge of the end to end food service distributions industry
  • Knowledge/Experience in a cold store environment
  • Good product knowledge
  • Well developed interpersonal skills including being able to motivate others and create a team environment
  • A solid knowledge of HACCP and OH&S regulations
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously within expected deadlines
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible and reliable
  • An analytical mind and problem solving ability
  • Drivers licence and Forklift licence is essential while HR licence is preferable
